Each December, the Mahanoy City Nifty Knitters club visits the Mahanoy Area SHINE Center to spread some holiday cheer. The local knitting club has formed a special bond with the Mahanoy SHINE Center over the years.
“It is our privilege to work with the SHINE program each year. During the holidays, we always read a story, plan and activity and present each child with a gift of a hand knitted hat and candy treat. It is the highlight of our year!” said Ms. Janet Kurzinsky, Mahanoy City Nifty Knitters.
